Mayr Hayasdan

ok, so now it is 3.19 am and i am the only one at the hotel. i i just had to say my goodbyes to the majority of CYMA. guess what, i cried and that is a rarity. right now i am crying cos im reliving the expereince. i came up the stairs of where we are staying and remembered those times when i used to pop my head into lisa's and alene's room to find the 'ladies' in there, and when i used to come into davids room and Boghos would ALWAYS be on the computer. there is only me and i need a hug!

whilst they were here i didnt realise how much i got to know them and love them.

Episode 3 - Revenge of the Pictures

Wow, I actually did some serious work on my internship project today, and now I might actually have some time to write.

We've travelled a lot this past week, and, personally, I love travelling in this country. You can only spend so much time in the city center before you lose your mind. It's easy for people, diasporan and otherwise, to come to this country on vacation, stay for a few weeks around Yerevan and say they love it. What's not to love? You have amazing food, beautiful sites, beautiful people, cafes, tea houses, ice cream, nice hotels, the whole package; and it costs pennies.

Culture and Connections

Hey guys, what's going on?
I'm still realizing that I'm actually in Armenia
Almost two weeks we've left home and already I've learned so much I never knew before. Despite some opinions Armenia is alive and thriving. Within 15 years they have managed to rebuild and continue to rebuild Yerevan. In another 15 years I doubt that I will be able to recognize the already bustling city as it is today. Spirits are high, and everyone has a great outlook for the future of Armenia.

Hello out there in radio land. Please excuse the delay, our internet has been down for the last few days. We have had the last three days off from our internships, and had a mostly free schedule. On the 1st we went to Ashtarakhitzor for Carla's birthday accompanied by the Yaldezians' cousin Suren and his wife and kids, and Lillit who used to work at our hotel and now is one of our local buddies. Ashtarakhitzor is a restaraunt/river/zoo/dance floor/concert hall/awesome in the an area called Ashtarakh(I'm sure I'm spelling this wrong). I also learned that tzor, at least I think, means ravine.
